Terms of use.

These terms apply to wellseenschools.com and to demonstration access we provide to evaluate WellSeen. When a district signs a service agreement and a data privacy agreement with us, those signed documents govern the district’s use of WellSeen and every student record in it. Wherever these terms and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement wins.

This website is written for the adults who run schools — superintendents, principals, counselors, privacy officers, and teachers. It is not directed to children. Students use WellSeen only at school, on school-managed devices, under their district’s authorization; they do not use this website and cannot create accounts anywhere in the product.

There is no self-service sign-up. Staff accounts are created by a district administrator or by us during district setup, and access ends when the district deactivates the account. If you hold an account: keep your credentials to yourself, turn on multi-factor authentication, and tell us immediately at the address below if you believe an account has been compromised.

You agree not to:

• Access, or attempt to access, records of a student, school, or district you are not authorized for
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except through the coordinated disclosure process on our trust page
• Interfere with the service or other users, including by automated load
• Misrepresent your affiliation with a school or district to obtain access
• Copy this site's content to pass off as your own product or materials

If you find a security problem instead of causing one, we genuinely want to hear from you — see reporting a vulnerability.

Districts own their data — roster information and every record created by students and staff belong to the district, held by us only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. The WellSeen software, design, and the content of this site are ours. Feedback you choose to send us about the product may be used to improve it, with no obligation and no use of any student information.

The pages here describe the product accurately as of their last update, and we work to keep them that way — but they are descriptions, not contractual commitments or legal advice. The commitments a district can rely on are the ones in its signed agreement. Blog posts and guides are general information for school communities, not advice for any specific situation.

We may suspend access that violates section 4 or that threatens the security of student data — immediately where a threat to student data is involved, and with notice to the district in every case.

If these terms change materially, the date above changes and districts with signed agreements receive written notice. Questions: hello@wellseenschools.com.
